By filling your prescriptions through an AHF Pharmacy, you are helping people living with HIV. 96¢ of every dollar collected by our pharmacies directly fund AIDS Healthcare Foundation’s HIV/AIDS programs and services domestically and abroad. Providing cutting-edge HIV medical care, regardless of a person’s ability to pay.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Includes the following; other duties may be assigned.

  • Prepares and stages medications and supplies for shipping or mailing to AHF clients,  or delivery including appropriate documents.
  • Operates AHF vehicle to deliver medications, medical supplies, documents and additional items as appropriate to client's home, place of business, or other location designated by client.
  • Obtains appropriate signatures on delivery documents, returns documents to AHF Pharmacy, ensures documents are collated and filed as per AHF policy and procedures.
  • Collects monies due upon delivery and/or credit card information and signatures.
  • Ensures timely deliveries as scheduled to patients.
  • Sets delivery routes and contributes to the development of efficient delivery routes and procedures for assigned pharmacy location.

Education, Certificates, Licenses, Registrations and Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Valid driver’s license in the state employed by AHF.
  • Knowledge of safe driving practices and traffic laws.
  • Three or more months’ related experience and/or training is desirable.

Other Skills, Abilities and Qualifications

  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish highly desirable, (Creole in some specific areas)
  • Must have knowledge of basic DMV regulations.
  • Must have basic computer skills to successfully operate shipping programs, look up address, phone numbers and special instructions of clients.
  • Demonstrates empathy with patients with tone, language, questions and counseling. Must be able to probe and question patients and providers to understand concerns or needs.
  • Engages the patient by telephone, e-mail, text messaging as well as other forms of communication.
  • Must have the ability to defuse potential customer conflict utilizing the appropriate tone, support, questions and or counsel.
