Essential Functions: 

Reporting to assigned Manager, transports freight and related materials by commercial motor vehicle.

Completes pick-ups and deliveries, peddles, and spot trailers as assigned.

Regularly uses Nextel to post departures and arrivals as well as POD information.

Ensures all paperwork is complete, accurate, legible, and processed in a timely manner.

Follows DOT and CFR regulations/requirements.

Handles freight loading, unloading, and rearranging as required.

Performs complete tractor inspections and trailer pre-trip and post-trip inspections for all vehicles that the driver pulls.

May operate a forklift and basic material handling equipment as required while moving, loading, rearranging, and/or unloading freight and bander.

Safely and efficiently makes two turns per night to any Tax-Air terminal, except as follows: Chicago to Neenah (1 turn) Minneapolis to Madison (1 turn).

Understands, supports, and promotes Tax-Air's philosophy and commitment to safety and security at all times.

Other duties as required.

Required Skills

Able to lift up to 75 lbs.

Able to read maps and possesses proper maps for the route.

Proven ability to work positively and effectively in a fast-paced and stressful environment.

Possesses and maintains all required and/or valid licenses or certifications

Must be able to pass driving and drug/alcohol tests per DOT and/or Company requirements

Competent utilizing standard office equipment such as: phone, fax, pager, copier, etc.

Required Experience

Class A license.


Minimum 1 year OTR driving experience.


Hazmat endorsement required (not immediately needed for hire).
